Opening in 1948, the Thunderbird was one of the earliest landmarks on the Strip, celebrated for its Southwest-inspired aesthetic and iconic neon signage. A favorite destination for both entertainment and relaxation, it captured the essence of Vegas’s golden age. Though the hotel changed names and eventually closed, this design preserves a piece of its rich history through the nostalgia of its classic casino chip.
